The Ministry of Justice has published on its website a working text of the National Judicial Development Strategy for the 2019-2024 period. The strategy encompasses the constitutional reform and changes of a whole set of laws which must be harmonized with the amendments to the Constitution, with the aim of improving efficiency of the courts and addressing the identified shortcomings.

The Judicial Development Strategy for the 2019-2024 period (hereinafter: the Strategy) is a continuation of the previous five – year strategy aimed at further modernizing and improving the efficiency of the judiciary. The implementation of this Strategy represents a step towards a modern, independent and accountable judiciary adapted to European standards, which will increase both citizens’ confidence in judicial institutions and the number of foreign investments in Serbia.

The adoption of the Judicial Development Strategy for the 2019-2024 period represents the completion of the reform process and the creation of conditions for continuity in the development, protection, sustainability and improvement of the quality of the judiciary in Serbia
