Representatives of Aleksic & Associates, Mircea Caran and Maja Prsic, participated in the fifth regional forum dedicated to NPLs (“SEE NPL Forum Vol.5“), which was held as a hybrid event in Belgrade, on November 19, 2021.

SEE NPL Forum Vol. 5 gathered more than 120 participants from Central and Southeast Europe, emphasizing the importance of dialogue on the NPL market, its financial potential and importance for the health of regional economy. On that occasion, representatives of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia announced a new, remaining NPL portfolio, with a nominal value of at least half a billion euros, which is expected to be officially announced in the first quarter of next year.

Attendees had the opportunity to hear more about the trends, potentials and new strategies of the regional NPL market. Also, this year’s forum introduced 2 workshops dedicated to the issues that often arise during negotiations on concluding agreements for sale of NPL portfolios (Workshop 1: Negotiating LSPAs in NPL transaction), while the second workshop was dedicated to the issues related to valuation of NPL portfolios (Workshop 2: Valuing NPLs). Aware of the importance of this dynamic area, and in an effort to provide comprehensive advice to the clients, representatives of the firm’s banking and finance team attended this year’s SEE NPL Forum Vol.5.
